(Reuters) – SoftBank Group-owned chip designer Arm is getting investment interest from several major tech firms for what is expected to be one of this year’s biggest initial public offerings.<\/p>\n

Arm has been in talks with about 10 companies, including Amazon.com (NASDAQ:), Intel (NASDAQ:), Alphabet (NASDAQ:) and Nvidia (NASDAQ:), about investments ahead of its IPO.<\/p>\n

Here is a list of companies that could be anchor investors in the IPO –<\/p>\n

Companies Relation with ARM <\/p>\n

Amazon.com Amazon Web Services, the internet <\/p>\n

giant’s cloud business, makes its <\/p>\n

own processing chip called Graviton, <\/p>\n

using Arm’s architecture. <\/p>\n

Apple (NASDAQ:) Arm licenses its technology to Apple <\/p>\n

to design chips used in its devices. <\/p>\n

Intel Intel Foundry Services and Arm <\/p>\n

announced a partnership in April to <\/p>\n

ensure that mobile phone chips and <\/p>\n

other products that use Arm’s <\/p>\n

technology can be made in Intel’s <\/p>\n

factories. <\/p>\n

Alphabet Alphabet’s Google Cloud unit also <\/p>\n

uses computing chips based on Arm’s <\/p>\n

technology in its machine learning, <\/p>\n

Android and compute engine service. <\/p>\n

Microsoft (NASDAQ:) Microsoft’s Windows also runs on <\/p>\n

devices powered by Arm processors. <\/p>\n

Taiwan Semiconductor TSMC’s partnership with Arm helps <\/p>\n

Manufacturing Co the chip contract manufacturer’s <\/p>\n

customers design chips for devices <\/p>\n

and high-performance cloud data <\/p>\n

centers. <\/p>\n

Samsung Electronics (OTC:) Arm also sells its architecture and <\/p>\n

technology to Samsung (KS:) for use in its <\/p>\n

chips for smartphones. <\/p>\n

Nvidia Arm had said chip giant Nvidia’s <\/p>\n

data center processor Grace was <\/p>\n

built using its Neoverse V2 design. <\/p>\n

Nvidia’s plan to buy Arm in a deal <\/p>\n

worth $80 bln was shelved in <\/p>\n

February last year. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
